i have a 8830 for verizon, and also have a mac

the first time i added music to my blackberry, all the songs were able to show up in the media player. but now whenever i add songs, i have to click on the options button in the media home screen, click explore and find the folder where i dragged the media files. they arent showing up in the media player though. any ideas?

Make sure you put them in the music folder. Also you may have to battery pull to get Media Player to reindex the music folder.

Once in a while I find that audio or video files I've copied to the Pearl don't show up in the Media Player.

A quick fix that has worked reliably for me...

- Connect Pearl to computer via USB
- Create a new folder for the audio/video
- Move the files from the existing folder/location to the new folder (A Move command is much faster than using a Copy command.)
- Delete the old folder

Disconnect and the files will appear (at least they do for me).

I haven't found consistent reason why some files don't show up after copying, but so far this little "folder trick" has worked reliably.
