Do a battery pull. It's often necessary after you delete an application.

If it's still there after the battery pull... go into Options > Advanced Options > Applications > click menu button > Modules

There may be a leftover Google Maps module that you'll need to manually delete.

If you installed the Google suite of apps then you may run into this problem.

You can also try this, download and install googlemap at Google Maps, and than remove it from Options>Advanced Options>Applications.
