Default Can't get SeaByrd Video Converter to work, HELP!!! - 12-26-2007, 05:04 PM

I got an 8gb MicroSD card for christmas. I immediately put songs on my phone via drag and drop. Simple. I then proceeded to convert some videos. I read the sticky but was unsuccessful with the mendocer DOS prompt. So I downloaded SeaByrd Video COnverter. I have converted a full DVD, a .mov file from my camera and individual scenes from DVD's. None of them play on my Pearl. I get an error message that reads "Unable to play content". Any thoughts? Is there a setting I am missing? Any help on this would be great. Thanks.

I'm new to this forum, and this is my first post...

I am pretty good with this type of thing, but I couldn't get the video right either after several days. I fly a bit these days, so video on the small screen is important to me, so I had to get this working.

I saw, in another forum that belong, that xilisoft DVD premium would handle blackberry video.

I googled it, downloaded it and it worked like a charm... I am always leary because you only get 5 minutes of video, but it looked good. I paid for it and they emailed the registration code imediately and it works like a champ.

One thing. it's fairly expensive ( $45.00) but it rips and encodes in one step, and for me, my time much more costly than the outlay. its much better ( and faster ) than a 2 step process of decrypting and then encoding.

Secondly, you have to highlight the correct video file before you make the changes in the right screen (I used the same settings as outlined in the sticky for the Super c program) If you don't change them, you'll get a 500meg movie ( which is entirely too big if you want to carry several on your 1 or 2 gig card)

Anyway, this was MY simple solution.. I learned from someone else, so I'm passing along... which is why these forums work.
