Default Do you love making icons?

Please Login to Remove!

Do you ever feel the need to just sit down at the computer and mess with Photoshop? Do you have very high skills in Photoshop? If so, then this is the job for you!

I need someone who wants to make some custom icons for me. I will be selling the theme that these icons will be used in. If somebody wanted to make them for free, that would be awesome! I will give the maker(s) the theme for free. If you are interested, please PM me and I will let you in on the details. Please know that these details are confidential and should not be shared until I decide to announce it. When I am PMed I will tell people the style of icons I want. And if I feel as if I am being PMed by a not so trustworthy person, I will ignore the PM. Thanks!

good luck with this.....

There is more work making the icons than there is making the theme!

before you try the custom icon route...try looking on the net for all the free icons that are already available. Deviantart.com is a good place to start. Try google..and use the term Free Icons...and see what pops up.

Yes, but if I will be selling the themes, I do not want to get into legal trouble.

Well, my theme building will be put on hold until:

1.) I improve my Photoshop skills or

2.) Someone wants to make icons for me.

Sorry about the triple post, but I didn't want to start a new thread. Is there anyone out there who can direct me to a good icon making tutorial. What do all you icon makers use for your themes? Thanks!

But if you sell the themes, wouldn't that be considered illegal? I mean if you have the theme available for free, that is one thing. But if you sell the theme, wouldn't some of the profit have to go to the author of the theme?

that doesn't seem to stop some people...
look at all the iphone type themes being sold all over the place...

I'd stick with the available icons out there..and maybe in your spare time try to develop your own icons.

Also..there are sites like istockphoto.com, where you buy the royalty rights to icons...you basically buy a sheet of icons for liek $5 or $6 ..then you can do whatever you please with them...

So you sell the themes even if the icons are from another site? Is it legal to do so? And I am pretty sure he made the icons for the bphone theme.
