So, I know there is a ton of iPhone wannabe themes out there, but I have an iphone as well, and I want to try and replicate the look as closely as possible.

This is my layout I did in adobe illustrator...the background and icons are all done, I have to create some custom ones as well for other stock bb apps, and for some of the more popular apps... if I can figure how make the OS load the icon instead of the default one. Anyways, would anyone be interested in this, I am doing this for my 8800, and my 8320, obviously their will be room for the wifi logo. I am also working on a ubuntu linux theme, and a gnome looking theme too.

I am all for the idea of the iphone theme and what not. But I am not liking the linux theme idea, because I am already making one! :P

DUDE, i love the theme. Finish it and release it lol. ALSO do the linux theme, the more the better, gives us a choice. Id love to see abunch of linux themes as well. cant wait. It is possible to change the 3rd party icons. Im not sure on how to do it but ive seen it done on certain themes. good luck. ill be waiting.

dont forget the icon for custom user made folders. if you cant figure out how to change 3rd party apps to match, i would put them all in one folder to keep the look of the theme.

don't worry about creating icons for 3rd party apps - nothing you can do to force the OS to load your icon instead of the 3rd party app icon...

Good job. It does resemble the iPhone. Compared to the other iPhone themes, this one is closer to the original. You sure got some talent.

Unfortunately I wouldn't want a theme to have my BlackBerry's menu look like the iPhone.

Looks very professional. Are you planning to do both the today and zen themes or just an icon theme

My plan was to do all three, icon, Zen and Today. The icon fist since it is a true representation of the iPhone OS. It will be released in the coming weeks.

I am working on this in my spare time, and to make it just right, it is taking more time than I thought since this is my first stab at an actual BB theme.

I may do this for the 8100, since my wife is feeling left out... she uses a Red Pearl. So I am definitely going to be busy.

wrong. you CAN change the third party app icons. The tiger theme from bbextras had custom 3rd party app icons. you have to know some programming in order to do it though.

I am working on the 8300 version first, and I would say it is about 50% done. This is taking longer than I anticipated, but I also do not want to release it until I know I am 100% happy with it. I may want to send the file to a few people to test it out before I release it for mass consumption. If anyone is interested, please PM or leave me a message here. When I feel it is ready for testing, I will email the zip or OTA link to the peeps who wanted to try it out. I would hate to be responsible for killing someone's phone.

Just a quick update: Thanks all, I have not had alot of time to work on this theme, I am hoping to have the curve and 88XX series icon versions done this weekend, I will email the ZIP file to those who asked to test it for me to find any bugs, and I will be using it as well before it goes public here on the forums. Thanks and hang tight, I want to make this perfect, so I will not release it till I am 100% satisfied...I am still learning Plazmic, and have already made 3 iterations of the theme, and I am still not happy.
