Default Odd Thing with Desktop Picture

Please Login to Remove!

Ok not sure how to explain this but I have a picture on my phone... whenever I view ANY pictures on my phone they are fine nothing wrong with the display or anything...

However just recently whenever I use a picture as my desktop about 3/4 of the way up there is like a "line" or something and everything above it is a different "shade" a little lighter but enough to be noticable and enough to drive me nuts...

I have attached a screenshot of my desktop

If you look close about 3/4 of the way up you can see the change

Now here is a copy of the same picture just being displayed by the phone through the view pictures option

As you can see it is the same picture however no change

And it does this consistently with any picture I choose..

Any help?

It is part of the theme, it is a slightly shaded upper portion of the screen for the alerts, time, etc. You are correct, all pictures will show that way.

*** Moved to the Media Center section ***

DrewsBarnes, it's called the banner background. When creating a custom theme using Plazmic Theme Builder you have to option to change the background.

Odd that I have had the phone for 3 months and never noticed it before now though... Is there a way to fix it other then building my own theme

As Perfect Storm said, not possible. I feel your pain though, I can't stand that banner background either.

how hard is it to build your own theme with the software referenced above... is it worth the effort?

All you have to do is download a new theme that does not have that kind of banner.

I just say it is a good thing
the banner background is not across the lower third of that wallpaper.

Do you have the L theme without the banner background for this user to download?

Sorry, I didn't realize that was the L theme. Heh, don't take that the wrong way.

Also, if that is a picture of your fiance, I suggest removing it IMMEDIATLEY. Their are a bunch of creepy people out there on the internet who will copy the picture and put it on their own site.
