I just bought an 8130 and I tried to install a theme...i unzipped it...opened manager ...apllication loader...clicked add....selected my theme (.alx) and it says "no additional applications designed for your device were found". i was told i could use an 8100 theme and would work fine...i don't know I've never had a blackberry...seems kind of useless...my old flip phone did all the same stuff...

Welcome to the forums and the world of BlackBerry, ObeyFez.
Where did you get the theme? FYI, OTA (Over-the-Air) installs are soo much easier. If they have an OTA download, use that with your BB Internet Browser. That is if you have a data package with Sprint else browsing the Internet will cost you an two arms and a leg. They let you keep one leg so you can hop back.
As far as the theme being compatible, most pay sites have a section above the menu where you select your model so it does indeed work with your phone.

Wirelessly posted (mindlessly posted)

8100 themes I believe will not work on 8130 different operating systems

make sure you have both the .alx and the .cod in the same folder. Although your only installing the .alx, you need them both in the same folder for it to work properlly
