I'm looking to encode a bunch of movies from my DVD collection to fit on my new Pearl 8130 and I'm running into some issues with the right format/res. to make it look the best it can look.

I'm using ImToo 3GP Video Converter (latest full version I bought from their site) to compress 'em down and for some reason when I select BlackBerry AVI or any other option besides 3GP, it won't let me play it. Just goes to the white screen error. Tried xPlayer and that doesn't want to do ANYTHING on my BlackBerry. xPlayer won't even play my own video captures from the device.

I did a ... 320x240....(?) conversion of I Am Legend and in full screen it looks good but it's still fuzzy/choppy (BlackBerry 3GP). What do you guys recommend as far as the best conversion and best (free) player for movies?
