Default Unlocking Vendor Themes - 04-16-2008, 09:11 PM

So..I got the new 8120..
I wanted to check out the vendor themes...I manipulated the BlackBerry.alx file with my vendor code..deleted vendor.xml...fired up desktop manager...

nothing..does not recognize the new unlocked themes.

I heard the 8130 was the same way...

my question... WHY? Why will unlocking the themes not work on these models???

Did I miss a step?

ps my os is 4.3.0.115

I am only able to unlock certain themes... Most of them won't work. That's with the newest VZW O.S.

Are you sure the themes are included in the handheld apps?

I'm looking at the BlackBerry.alx file and see the themes...and usually all I have to do is put my 3 digit vendor code in the "" and they unlock...

this is driving me crazy...

But are the actual applications included in the java directory?

I see what you are saying...and No...I do not see them in the Java Directory.

Since they are not there...they cannot be loaded...correct? Looks Like T-Mobile finally got smart and removed them...

The ones I am looking at are in the Java Directory, I have removed them and put them back.

How can you put them back..when they were not there to begin with? Do you think I should download and install an 8100 OS that had the vendor themes prior ro TMO's release of 4.3.0.115 for the 8120?
