Default Icon Special Today Zen... ? - 04-19-2008, 10:59 AM

Most of the theme sites I've come across seem to have themes organized into Icon, Special, Today, Zen, Zodiac... I haven't found a simple explanation to what each of them means though. Yes another n00b question, sorry. The more I get answered, the less I'll have to ask... Thanks.

Sounds like you're looking at one site in particular.

The 3 customizable styles are icon, zen and today. The best way to see what each is would be to activate the "Dimension" varieties of each one that are included on your device.

Look at the themes already installed on your BB in Options >Themes. Try the different themes with "Dimension" in the name. "Icon" is just a screen of icons. "Zen" has a screen of icons but also a screen with just a row of icons on the bottom or one of the sides. "Today" is like a zen theme with email, calendar, or other info on the main screen.

Yup, try them all out and see what you like the most. I think you're looking for the bPhone theme. You can download it here: bPhone -- an iPhone theme for BlackBerry | RogersMJ.com

I should add that you should only download themes made specifically for your device. According to your profile you're using an 8100 device. Also pay attention to instructions concerning the firmware on your device. Download the wrong theme and you could kill your BlackBerry.

You should be fine as long as the theme description matches your device and firmware numbers. If you're really worried then by all means create a new thread with a link to the theme you want to download and ask some of the other members.
