i have never had this problem,
i use desktop wall papers, but when i do pics its the same, when you take the pic does it take up the whole screen when you view it. that may be the problem if so, if that is the problem then i would suggest that you reset your pic configuration to a higher format so that it does take up the whole screen.
some of the pics i have on my puter i transfered from my hd, i use them for my individual person pics, they do not take up the whole screen because the format is too tall or too small. i dont suggest changing the size of the pics because it can cause distortion.
