Default Device Not Connected - 05-09-2008, 07:09 AM

Hey everyone. From what I've been reading this is a fairly common error but I havent found any way to fix it yet. Here is my situation:

The phone is a Blackberry Pearl 8130. I have installed and am using 4.3 software with Media Manager. The phone does not have an SD card in it so its just using internal memory. The phone is on a BES. Now the Desktop Software works perfectly. I can backup, synch, etc. and do a "Detect" and connect to the phone just fine. However when I go into the Roxio Media Manager I get "Device not connected". It obviously knows the phone is there though because if I unplug the phone the program crashes. If I go into the options in Media Manager and try to select my device there is nothing in the dropdown list. I have tried it on 2 laptops (neither were docked) and a desktop.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.

You can't manage media if there is no media. It only works if you have a SD card inserted.

There is lots of media. The phone has internal memory. The client (not my phone) took the phone to his house and used his laptop which had an older version on it (4.2) and it works fine. Now obviously that is the solution.... use 4.2.... but for him that is not acceptable (dont get me started).
