Default Ringtone Corner.. - 05-31-2008, 10:47 PM

Hey Guys and Gals,

Not sure why we don't have a sticky on this one.. Although there are a ton of ringtones on the BBFAQ site. But I thought it would be nice to have a ringtone request area. So if it's ok with the Mods, post your request and I use my free time helping others.

I completely agree, I just mentioned this on another topic.
Regarding ring tones, I am not talking about Mp3 songs, or clips. Just good old ring tones, effects, noises, and those interesting stuff that is not on the blackberry. The choices are very limited on BB, there are bunch of party tunes which are totally inappropriate for a business device, and it has only 3-4 reasonable ring tones. I am talking about Ringer_BBpro.

I hope people can share their interesting ring tones or "ringers" here.

Yeah, there is a problem though, There are exactly 910 ring tones (mp3), and it is very difficult to find the good ones, I guess we have to listen to them all and pick out the good ones. That's the issue I was talking about.

Well, I just downloaded them all, and listened to almost everything in about 1 hour, just going to through them in winamp, and deleting the ones I don't like. It was OK.

i frequently make instrumentals of songs i like into 30-50 second ringtones or alarms that i would be glad to share. if some one would recommend a good FREE site to upload them to for you, i would post them up for sure. Let me make sure I'm not infringing on anything in legal terms before i do though. however, as long as i'm not selling it i don't see it as a problem, especially since most are either extracted from parts of the songs, or others are from complete instrumentals off of promo cds for djs.

Anything over 30 seconds in length IS illegal. If it is a copyrighted song, it cannot be more than that. That's why the iTunes preview is exactly 30 seconds in length. I will have my site up soon though. Let me know what you have. Are they organized at all?
