I found another new theme last night (for my Curve) on mobile.blackberry.com. It's called "Surreal". I don't have a program to pull screen captures but encourage all to check it out. This probably competes with "Today Plus" for the best theme they've ever posted. It's like a bottom dock zen, except the icons are across the middle. Also, on the aplications page, it holds 7 across instead of 6. The top header is very slick, with a real different battery indicator. Also, contrary to my initial gut, you can change the background and it holds it's special attributes.

I changed the background to the 2nd (red) one on the following page, which is from themes4bb courtesy of Larry Farmer.

You could very well be on to something. After I installed I received the 523 reset error that just loops with the same error.

Just finished using desktop manager to remove the theme from my BB. Seems fine now...

I like very much both these new themes (Surreal and Stargazer), but I think Surreal will be the final choice.

Here's a silly question....What does the large green button on the home screen (next to the wifi symbol) represent? I am assuming battery level?

I like it. And yes the big green blob appears to be the battery level.

I really like the look of this theme but due to the incompatibility with the 4.5 OS I won't be installing it.

Don't bother downloading this if you have 4.5 it will crash your device, I got the App Error 523.

I really want it, but I'd rather stay with 4.5

What I like about this theme is that the font you choose remains the same font throughout, unlike other customized themes. How is this possible? Is it the theme builder app? I wish it were this case for many of those others, if not for that, I would use them.

i didnt pay attention to it at all due to a lack of preview on the bberry homepage, and even after seeing the screenshots above, i wasnt THAT enthused.

but after installing it, WOW! i matched it up with a modified "Vista Aurora, Logo Removed" wallpaper and it REALLY pops! the icons are a bit too whimsical for my tastes, but for now it's staying active. i cant seem to decide between this and the stock T-Mobile Zen theme with the "Cranberries" wallpaper.

i need an app that can swap themes randomly whenever the phone comes out of standby!

I like the direction that these 2 new themes are going. Should be interesting to see what kind of themes we get when 4.5 is officially released.

Wow too bad this doesnt work with 4.5. I very much like this style zen. They have put some seriously nice themes out recently. not your typical ones that we've become accustomed to seeing around here.

Don't think so, it's for a 320x240 device. If you install it everything will be crambed into a small screen.

How did you get it working? I've got the same phone and it keeps telling me, I can't download them. I'd really like a few of these.

Put it on my 8800 last night. I think once I customize it I'll like it more.

I imagine he/she did what I did: downloaded the zip file from the link in this post, unzipped it, and installed it via Desktop Manager.

EDIT: Sorry, was thinking of xPlayer. I actually installed the Surreal theme OTA from the link mentioned in the last paragraph.

Only problem I see on the 8330/4.3 is that the underline character for the home screen icons looks like the top half of a question mark.

Sorry to the 4.5 users who downloaded this theme based an my suggetion to check it out. Of course, if I was aware that it caused 523's and other problems for you, I would have said so.

Downloaded it. Activated it. Love it. With one caveat......can they please give us back our "active profile" icon on the home screen. I miss that little buggar!

Once your at mobile.blackberry.com, click on 'Fun and Games'->'Themes'->scroll down until you see the download link for 'Surreal', click to begin downloading the theme.

Nice theme.... Wish the icons were smaller.... Removed it because of this.... Over all it's pretty sweet though....

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but does anyone know what the green V button with a red dot at the top means?

Even though I could install this theme on my VZW 8330, it apparently causes some unhappiness with the browser application. I will get an "error rendering page" on many websites that work just fine when another theme is active, and I also have to perform a battery pull (after switching themes back to something more compatible) to fix things.
