Default The device is full? No it's not!!! - 06-16-2008, 04:47 AM

Ok, so, long story short, I'm really, really new at this. I just got my blackberry 2 days ago, and I'm trying to get some music on it. The problem is, it doesn't seem to want it. I tried putting some songs on there, and some would say that the device was full, and others would load properly. Now they all say it's on, but that's impossible. I've got 5 photoes, 3 entries in my address book, and 3 songs. There's no way it's full, so what's the problem? I followed the intructions to a 'T', but yeah. There's my problem. I am going through that dang fangled roxio program, and I'm dragging and dropping within' the program, so what's going on here?

I've got a 8310 blackberry, and 4.2 whatever, if that helps at all.

mp3s
3 x 4~5 mb = 12~15 mb
images
5 x 2~3 mb = 10~15 mb

yeah, you might just be full.

the 8310 has a file total of 58064896 bytes... that's 58 mb's. a large chunk of that goes to your OS & all that.

you should invest in a micro sd to go along with your blackberry if you want to upload music into it. you can even go for a 4 gb high capacity one!

I've got 2 photos, about 75-100 contacts, and about 12 ringtones(ranging from 20 seconds to 59 seconds all in 128kbs), and I still have about 10-15 megs free space.

I'm getting a 4GB card though asap.
