Default Themes with Smaller fonts...Please? - 06-20-2008, 06:31 PM

I love some of the themes that I am seeing here and elsewhere for the BlackBerries. I would really like to see some with fonts that are a bit smaller though. I am sure that for some people it is nice to have the larger fonts but I find that I always go back to the BB Dimension Zen theme because the small fonts make it easier for me to use the phone.

For example, I really like the Precision Zen theme, but the fonts are a little large and at the bottom of the email list the message(s) gets cut off. This happens on a few others as well. In addition, it is nice to just be able to fit more on the screen.

Another related question: Is it possible to keep the settings so that PIN messages still show up in Red with added themes? Only with the included themes does this seem to work.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

The themes drive the appearance of the PIN items.

Another good site is themes4bb.com

It is possible for the themes to be made such that PIN messages show in red like they do using the default theme(s), right?

I will check some of the links you guys have posted as soon as I can grab my notebook. Thanks!

I'd also like to see font smoothing turned off on these themes.

wow...small fonts and font smoothing turned off??

Usually people are begging for large fonts and font smoothing!

Check out themes4bb.com...ther are over 2000 themes there...hopefully you can find 1 or 2 that appeal to your font needs.

I like themes that follows the font setting you set from the "screen setting" menu. Too many themes forces you to accept the themes the author sets. That's one reason why I like the OEM themes, they follow the fonts you set.

Exactly...with so many of them not only do I want to change the fonts but I even wish there was a font size 6 or 5!

Same here! I upgraded to the Vodafone OS 4.5 and the smallest font is much bigger than I want. I seriously considered reinstalling the previous OS just because of that.

I did it. I reinstalled the 4.2 version because the smallest font is too big in 4.5. I love BBMillbank Tall or BBCasual at 7 pt. I love Vodafone Spain theme.
