Default need help with L theme - 06-22-2008, 02:04 AM

I just got my BB Curve 8330 yesterday and I love it. I switched to the built-in L theme, which I like, but I can't seem to figure out how to switch the icons in the theme with the ones I want. When I hit the menu key, it shows all the icons horizontally on several lines. I can move them around, but I can't seem to figure out how to arrange them so they will display the way I want them on the home screen. It took me nearly 15 minutes of moving icons around just to get two of them the way I wanted them on the home screen. Is there an easy way to do this for an L theme?

when you are in the menu area...select the icon you want and click the menu button again...it will have the option to move...then move it to the top of the list...i think it's the top 7 or 8 that are in the menu that will end up on your L menu...

Well, my problem seems to be that there's no easy way to tell how to move the icons into the right position without accidentally removing or switching an icon you already wanted there. Plus, the application switcher icon and the profiles icon can't seem to be swapped with anything. That's really annoying. Also, even if you manage to get the icons in the right rows to display them on the theme, if you try to rearrange them, you risk pushing icons you actually wanted out of the home screen and replacing them with ones you didn't want. This seems way more complicated than it should be. Why can't you just select exactly which icons you want on your home screen?

If you start at top right the whole top row will be on the L theme, plus the first 3 of the 2nd row, and in the same order. The ones you want on home screen without hitting menu are the first 8 that appear, right to left and top to bottom, after hitting menu key
