Default Movies onto your Verizon Curve - 06-30-2008, 08:08 PM

What is the easiest or best way to get movies onto a Verizon 8330 Curve? I'm new at this, and I'm struggling a bit -- I just want to put movies we already own onto the phone for my daughters to watch while we're in the car. I'd like to not spend money on a program, but if everyone says "none of the free ones are worth the trouble..... buy ________ or _________," then that's what I'll do. Just looking for guidance from those with experience at this point.

Thank you so much -- my daughters will really thank you too!!!!

Right now I've got DVDFab copying a DVD, but I'm worried (from things I've read) that the free Seabyrd video converter won't work b/c my Curve is Verizon. Is this true? I'm wasting much time if so..... Help me please.....

use Roxio Media Manager that came on your Desktop Manager disk. it will automatically convert the movies for you. It is slow, but its drag and drop so very easy, and also free.

Media Studio for Blackberry is a very simple option if you don't want to have to deal w/separate steps and separate SW for ripping from DVD and encoding. It costs about $40 or so. A couple clicks and it rips from your DVD and then encodes for your model BB and will put it on the BB for your if you are connected via USB. Simple, albeit more costly option.

Is it even worth viewing on the screen? Just curious as I have never tried.

This is the option I always use. Works great for me.

I must really be an idiot.... I'm trying to use the Roxio Media Manager, I put a DVD in, and I have no idea which files to drag and drop -- there are like 12 files on the DVD, I have no idea what to bring over..... what to not.....

I know it's worth it, once I get it figured out -- I saw a friend's BB Curve a few months ago, he was watching Spiderman on his phone, and the picture actually looked incredible. I couldn't believe a phone was doing what it was doing.....

But I can't get this figured out. Does anyone know "what to copy vs. what not to copy" from the DVD to the phone?
