Default BB 8310 Media Manager Icon

Please Login to Remove!

To Whom It May Concern:

I purchased a Blackberry Curve 8310, and a memory card. Installed the
desktop software and followed the instructions on screen and in the booklet
that came in the box. Closed everything down and the "Blackberry Desktop Manager" box appeared. The only icons within this box are "Application Loader", "Backup and Restore", "Switch Device Wizard", and "Synchronize"
The "Media Manager" icon is missing. So, I joined the Blackberry Owners Lounge and noticed that someone else had the same problem. Took the advice they gave which mentioned something about "I must have "Roxie" that is interferring. I then checked my system by going to the Add/Remove Programs screen and couldn't find "Roxie" anywhere. Please tell me what to do.

Thanking you in advance, I am
Computer and obviously Blackberry confused

Make sure you download the DM that has the media manager built in...chances are you have the one that doesn't. Check RIM's website for the DM downloads and you will see that it says DM w/Media Manager, and DM w/o

Here's the download section for DM 4.5..you can tell there are different ones

I actually have the same problem and I verified that I have the version with Media Manager installed, but I get no Media Manager icon/option in Desktop Manager.

Anyone seen this and can provide help.
