Any reason why the 'Profiles' icon is blank? I'm using the Today on my 8310 with v4.5

Originally there was no way to have the profile icon hidden on the home screen plus have an icon in the applications view, however this is now possible for a theme made with the newest Plazmic. I, on the other hand, when I ported this to 4.5 from 4.2 did not make the change simply because I forgot about it. If this is an issue let me know and I will attempt to correct it.

Today Plus version has just been uploaded! I'll be sending this to Chris for OTA here in a bit. Remember: Only for OS 4.5.
Merry Christmas!

RIM... for those whom have issues with the field size cutting off your name or info on the lock screen please redownload. I increased the size, however if it's still an issue let me know and I'll increase it again. Sorry about that.

Revamped the first post. Included a mini-tracker of sorts, I'll post the current version number and file size when I make changes. This way you won't have to guess if you need to upgrade.

Forgot how good this theme looked. Thx again!
BTW, no problem whatsoever with name cutting off on lock screen.

Thank you. Some days I think the theme isn't very good but it's comments like this that encourage me to keep making it better.

Noticed some performance issues so I disabled a few settings. Also moved some status icons around and increased the Message sub-listing to 1. Pictures posted are current.
Let me know if this is an improvement or not.

This theme looks great. I love the ability to have apps on the bottom of the Today screen.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

Default Well done! - 01-11-2009, 09:36 PM

I installed OS 4.5 today and luckily landed onto your theme! It is the best I have seen in a long time. Nice work!

It may be unique to me, but in one instance it forgot all my folders that I had created and reset all the icons back to how you have them in the default theme. I had this issue with the 'Today plus' theme that I had while on OS 4.2 and tried using with OS 4.5. It may be just a one-time glitch so I'll see if it happens again (hope not, very frustrating to create folders and move things back!).

Again, nice work!

I think the screenshots for this theme are pretty sweet, great work! I tried to download OTA, however, and get the following message (paraphrased):

An Error Has Occurred: You Are Not Allowed To View The Downloads

Any idea what's up with this?

In parallel with that request, can anyone tell me how to install this via the downloadable zip? (Sorry, BB Curve newb here)

Cheers!

During the initial load of the theme, the application hierarchy is as I laid it out in the CDK. Once you make changes it should save them from then on. Are you referring to the initial load or afterwards when you have customized it?

The OTA host, freeblackberrystuff.com, requires the user to authenticate before downloading. There may also be a 10 post limitation before the user can then download the theme. This is governed by that site not me. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As for download via COD, save the zip to your desktop and extract. Connect device. Open the Desktop Manager, select Application Loader. Under Add/Remove Applications, click Start. Click Browse, locate theme on desktop. Click Next, then Finish.

Initial load. Everything has been stable for over a week or regular use, so no issue. Thanks again!

It looks like the OTA link is not working. I read the site hosting the theme for OTA installs has some issue with an upgrade and the themes disappeared.

The themes are slowly getting added back, but the Vista Metal is not available yet.

Thanks,

Tim

If I get time I might add it to other OTA sites. Now, if I could host OTA files via Google Sites then I could do it myself.

Default Nice stuff - 01-29-2009, 04:47 PM

I REALLY like this Today+ theme. I bought a couple and they are crap. It seems no one can get the messages list set without white space at the bottom and always have the font too large. As you can see I am a perfectionist so until I dive in and do this theme building myself I am using yours!!! One thing on the message list (I email my butt off!) the font on unread could maybe be bold on the next version? Not a huge deal. Thanks for sharing your work!!!

So I pulled all the icons I need out of the maze that is the folders...now I want to hide them and some of the folders however all they do is turn translucent and do not completely disappear. How do I get them completely hidden with this theme?

The only problem about making this for another device is that I have to start from scratch, at least that is the case with Plazmic 4.6. I'm not touching 4.7 until it is officially released. Been burned too many times by beta software, that and as I no longer have a 8320 I cannot personally test it. I don't like releasing anything that I can't personally vouch for.
