I have a 7250 too. I tried to connect to the over the air themes, but it says "unable to connect to the internet". However, when I go to any other website, it connects? Weird..... What themes did you install on yur 7250? Thanks!

with each theme, they differ on what is possible and what is not possible, unfortunately. so with some, you can hide certain icons that you otherwise wouldn't be able to. on others, some applications will appear within the applications folder while others appear on the main ribbon. take these as is - nothing can be changed, altered, etc. on these themes.

i am simply limited to providing the themes for installation, unfortunately.

I downloaded the file ota but when I went into themes to choose Orange it will not let me, it sticks with the default, when I click on the track ball it only offers call voicemail, close or hide, is there something else I need to do?

* Note: To use the Orange theme on the 7100 series handhelds, you must first install the Default Small Icons theme.

Sounds like another theme will be available soon. Sprint/Nextel is releasing a new model called 7100i. The theme is the Cingular 7100g flavor with icons rather then list.

the 7100i will ship with OS 4.1, so the theme may or may not be compatible for OS 4.0.2. i will certainly test it out and add it to the package if it is compatible, though. the theme looks like a hybrid between the list and an updated small icons.

Is there a fix for the calculator in the orange and others that the calculator doesn't work with or is it best if one needs to use the calculator often to pick vodaphone and/or the others that the calculator does work on?

I just installed the themes on my 7230 but when the O2 theme is active and I get a sms it only stays in the message folder for about 5 minutes or so. Can this be corrected?

for some reason after I installed the thems on my handheld, I went the THEMES in the options section and it shows the new themes but I can't select them, I open the menu and all it shows is "CLOSE"

How do I apply the new themes?

let me guess. its one of the themes that i stated in the original post under the 'Note' part that requires another theme to be installed prior to it being enabled, correct?

It appears that OS 4.1 themes cannot be installed. I was attempting to do just about anything and everything to get the damned thing installed, but ended up spending countless amounts of time rebooting my handheld just to get it back to the way it was. The themes will not show up as options. If you remove all of the themes and simply install the 4.1 themes, you are set to the 'None' theme (where one is not available) and Themes is not even listed in Settings.

If someone can figure out a way to install them and have them work, I'm all ears.

Wow, you mean the thread commandeered your BB and screwed up your BB? I've heard lots about the Internet's "reach", but this is a new one.

...no offense, but thanks to yourself, your calculator is now broken and your calendar is messed up, shall you say. this thread nor myself nor this forum had anything to do with your decision to load themes.

Cool No "Activate" in the menu... - 10-06-2005, 04:42 PM

Hi foks,

I decided to install a couple of new themes. Since they didn't appear to want to download over-the-air (I got some server busy something), I downloaded the theme pack to my computer and installed the "large icons" & "O2" theme from there.

However, when I go to settings>options>themes I see the themes listed there, but when I click on "large icons" to activate it, there's no activate in the menu, only "close".

What step am I missing? I tried doing a search here, but came up empty.

Sad part is, I've done this before... successfully! Did my upgrade to 4.0.2.49 change the rules?

Thanks

Install the Small Icons theme first. The O2 should allow you to activate it anyhow, assuming you have the Default List theme installed already (should be defaultly installed with your handheld).

Thanks jibi for the quick reply. And, Yes, the default list is there and actually is the one I'm currently using. Plus, the O2 theme works too. The one I was gunning for however is the Large Icons theme.
