Default Plazmic Custom Theme Question - 08-13-2008, 12:06 AM

hey guys!

i've been working on a custom theme for myself (i'll probably share it if it turns out right) & it's coming along JUST fine... i'm making a 'custom' style theme where the homescreen is blank & then when you press menu, the icons show up...

...

BUT i just found out that when i try to export it; i only get an option of 4.5 for the OS... i had created the theme having 4.2 in mind.

what also intrigues me is that people have "Bottom Zen" themes for 4.2.

now, my question is: will the theme work on my 4.2 device or do i have to upgrade?

is there a way to export this theme for 4.2?

okay, now, i'm stuck, again...

i finally finished the theme. i exported it for 4.2.2... but, after i install it to my berry, it doesn't show up in the themes list.

is it because my theme isn't compatible with the device at ALL?

Did you try a battery pull.... sometimes for whatever reason I have to pull the battery to get new themes to show up

yeah, i've tried that. it's still not showing up on the list.

maybe instead of exporting it as 4.2.2, i should try just 4.2?

Do you still have all the factory themes that came with your phone? In particular do you still have BB Dimension Today installed? If you don't, then no custom theme will work/show up on your phone...the 'Custom' theme template is based off of the BB Dimension Today theme.
