Default Video Tones - 08-17-2008, 11:49 PM

So I've recently discovered video tones, exsist (When your phone rings it plays a video and has sound), so i was wondering if these work on blackberrys, i have a curve. Any insight?

It is something I have not heard of for BlackBerrys.
I don't believe it will work under the native OS ringtone capabilities.

So I did a little more research and found out that video tones only work with:

Nokia- N90 5610 XpressMusic 6620 N-Gage 6133 3620 3660 3650 7610 6300 6682 6555 3600 6600 6301 N70 5310 XpressMusic 5300 N-Gage QD 5700 Palm- Treo750 Sanyo- MM-8300 SonyEricsson- K550i S500i W580i cell

via Ringtones, Mobile Games, Cell Phone Wallpaper and more - Jamster

Tooo bad :( maybe something blackberry will consider for future 'media' phones...

I guess so; in theory it sounds like a nice concept. I'm just wondering though that wouldn't it be a little rude to watch a video clip while someone is calling you?

Peace,

That's what I was thinking. I have an aunt who listens to the whole ringtone before answering because she likes the song she chose. Imagine how many missed calls that would generate.

Now being able to set it for someone to watch a video while they wait for you to answer might be cool.
