Default 8 GB SD Card the largest?

Please Login to Remove!

When I first got my 8830 I got myself a 2 GB SD card thinking that would good, after a few weeks I ended up getting a 4 GB SD.

Now I just upgraded to an 8330 and I've found myself taking pictures and using the video recroder a bit, not to mention my Music library has been expanding. So with my 4 GB card I have a little more then a 100 MB left, so it looks like I am going to need a bigger SD card. I do know 8GB is next step up but will OS 4.5 increase the 8 GB limit? and are there SD cards bigger then 8 GB out there? I know 8 GB are getting pretty so cheap the bigger stuff should be coming out soon right?

(An 8GB will probably suffice for a while but I am just thinking ahead, since half of the 8GB will be music/ringtones and now with a camera/vid recorder on my Curve that will end up using some more space, and with 4.5 I will be able to carry all my docs with me)

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8310)

Yes if I'm not mistaken there's supposed to be a 16gb somewhere in the near future.

12Gb's should be out soon. Haven't heard much about it lately, though.

16 GB are probably going to cost a pretty penny. As long as OS 4.5 supports 12 GB I might look into that... 8 GB are just getting so cheap now a days.

As of yesterday, a reply from SanDisk said they're not making 16GB MicroSD cards yet

The good news from RIM on this is that 4.5 will support 16 GB cards...

Am I correct in my belief that the Bold will support up to 32Gb (whenever that may arrive)
