Smile Wireless photo sync - any options?

Please Login to Remove!

Please forgive me if this has already been hashed to death, but I did searches for "wireless photo sync" and related phrases and came up empty.

I have a Blackberry Curve on T-Mobile, using BES. Contacts, calendar appts, all that syncs fine. But I still have to hook up my bb to my computer via USB cable to get the photos out, it seems (short of e-mailing/SMS'ing them all to me individually, or futzing with getting the mini-SD card out).

Am I missing some elegant over-the-air solution? I'm willing to pay (a small amount) of money for software or a service that'll let me ditch my USB cable and the related hassles in the context of photo transfers!

Thanks in advance for any advice

im not the most knowledgeable in this area. but one option is to purchase Blue tooth adapter for your PC and pair it up, that may work...

Hey Teksu, good point! I have an old desktop... no bluetooth... but I'm betting I could fix that .

I did discover -- at around 4am last night (!) that I could use the free service called "Shozu" to upload a batch of photos to various sites, including a server via FTP, and from there download to my personal computer(s).

Upsides: Free! Wireless!
Downsides: Slow (due largely to mobile provider, I think), pretty lousy blackberry application.

Another option is to enable email uploading on your google account and send the photos in an email.

PicasaWeb now has email Uploading!

Ah, I'm a Googler and I love Picasaweb! Unfortunately, though, I believe that that's just an option to send one photo at a time.
