Default Theme Builder .svg - 09-29-2008, 11:10 PM

Still not sure why all of a sudden i'm getting error messages such as "failed to compile .svg file" for themes that were already built fine. I've been using 3.0.0.27 fine for a few weeks since upgrading. I managed to finally create a theme, export fine, make a few tweaks and then that error message again!
I read someones advice to change the region or something to that effect before starting TB, however I don't see any control panel before it opens up that allows me to do so. Any info would be appreciated.

BTW, you can check out some themes i've made a while ago in my signature (cheap plug) but it's FREE.

Are you putting the application zen icon on a custom screen by chance?

If it's a custom type theme using the theme builder and not a zen type of themes the builder will typically throw that error out and not make the homescreen export and show...you will get the application screen only

I've never had that pro lem before making a dock type theme moving the icons from left side (zen) to bottom. Yes it will only show apps screen but that's pretty stupid if its supposed to be a "custom" theme

Yeup that's the problem, with any other icon works just fine its just when you put the BB application icon on there

Must be a bug because - did make a new theme this morning with the app icon on desktop along with 5 other icons on the bottom like I have been and it came out fine. I am running 4.5 OS on BB and latest v.3.0 Theme builder.thanks

A little birdy told me that there are options for choosing different SVG files in the new Plazmic 4.6. I haven't heard whether they've done any research as to what options are available, or how to tweak it. This might mean developers could create a Today+ theme of their own. I don't know yet. It might also answer the issues discussed in this thread. Or it could just be bugs caused by developing 4.x themes in the 3.x Theme Builder.

I'll have to double check my TB version I'm sure it said 3.0 with options to make custom screens. Either way it is the latest version that I downloaded from Plazmic a few weeks ago
