i am lokking for an easy ring tone/editor/converter program that will work with mac please let me know if there are any that i should consider.

I use a program called MP3Trimmer. It is decent enough. Free of course.

You can also use Garage Band (should be on your Mac) to make ring tones out of any song you want. Just import the song, trim it down to the part you want to keep, (about 30 seconds) and export it to iTunes and then just sync with your phone. I've been doing this with success for awhile now.
