Default videos and pictures

2 questions - 1st, i just bought my blackberry and it has two sample videos on it that play fine. When I load my own videos, I just get sound, no picture. I assume that I need an application? Is that right? If so, what is the best app to load?

2nd, there are a series of ample pictures loaded on the device. THey are locked ( a little lock icon appears in the upper corner of the pic). I want to delete them. How do I unlock them?

Thanks.

Ok, first the videos have to be either avi,mp4, or 3gp. You can use Device Manager or a free app called Blackberry Video,to convert them; do a search for it.The only way I know to delete the sample pictures is to upgrade to 4.5 os where most of the upgrades do not come with the sample pictures or videos. Be sure to.follow instructions for upgrading very close, do a search in this forum..

I'm reading some articles that sayt he bold support WMA/video. The videos I am trying to transfer are WMA. Nonetheless, I have modified the format using handbrake so I transfer them as mp4 files, but the bold doesn't read them. It say its the wrong format. I'm just moving one step at a time here - I'm not working with dvd movies or anything. These are simple little video clips I have. Maybe handbrake isn't a good encoder. Any suggestions on a godd encoder. Thanks.
