Ok got a bit bored with the wallpaper on my 8900, so here are some more walls I scaled/resized for it.

Like last time, I will upload a zip file for easy downloading, this is a near 250 some batch of wallpapers so check down a few posts if you just want to download the whole thing as a zip file.

As promised I uploaded all of the wallpapers I posted today in a zip archive.

It contains 239 wallpapers and is approx. 34.7MB

http://rapidshare.com/files/230470241/8900walls2.zip

Enjoy.

Note: Don't forget to check post #47 if you want to download all of my previous wallpapers prior to today in one convenient zip file.

Well for the 8900 the wallpapers should be 480x360.

To resize pictures that scale perfectly to 480x360, such as 1600x1200 pics, I just use a command line app that comes with ImageMagick, called 'mogrify'. It allows you to bulk resize images.

Though if you try using that on an image that is say widescreen, it will stretch and make the rezised image look like crap. So for images that do not scale perfectly to 480x360, I use Gimp. This way I can manually scale, cut, and crop the images to get a perfect, undistorted image. While this is time consuming, they come out looking great.

ImageMagick looks too complicated. I will try to find a way to do this with MS Paint..

An awesome collection, I praise your effort

Now only if there was an app that would automatically cycle through the folder on my curve 8900 and change the wallpaper at any given interval

Now that would be cool!!!

I use IrfanView. It's remarkably easy to use and it's FREE. Give it a try!

Here's my newest wallpapers. Just a few right now, ones I wanted to have on my 8900 right away. Over the coming weeks, I'll be posting more, as time permits. Some of these will be recognizable to some of you as ones I posted before, sized for the 8700/8800/8300. Others are brand new.

And speaking of my wallpapers for the 8700, I've found that some of them still work fairly well if you have the 8900 stretch them to fit the screen. Some work better than others, and of course, the image won't be as sharp or detailed as it will when it's properly sized at 480 x 360, but it's a way you can use my old wallpapers until I get around to resizing them.

Well these are 480x360 pictures which do scale perfectly to the 8310's 320x240 resolution (assuming I am right on the 8310's resolution though I think I am) so they should look good on your 8310.

I am not sure though if your 8310 will either crop or scale these pictures to fit your blackberry when you choose it as a background. You could always just put just one of these wallpapers on your BB to try it out and see how it looks.

Someone earlier in this thread said though that these look great on his 8330.

wow, once again, amazing pics.

Only thing that ruins it is the darn "fade" banner that runs across the top of the phone. Hate that.

Yeah, I usually don't have a problem with stuff, and I don't really have a problem with this picture being posted. It may be offensive to some, though. For reference, that picture is the entrance to Auschwitz.

This will keep me busy for days. Thank you. I wonder if you would make some "weeds" themes. Nancy is awesome, and its a great show. I can do it, but you seem to enjoy it.
