Default Same problem - 03-03-2009, 11:30 PM

Yeah I'm having the same problem... same OS and using the same conversion program... so all in all I've wasted $30 on ultra mobile 3gp video converter... Any help would be great! i really hate using the desktop manager for converting since it kinda hit and miss... sometimes it will work but other times i might not have audio or other times i might have a video error...

i have tryed about 7 diff programs today and i didnt really like the results of any of them... i know that Ultra Mobile 3GP Video Converter can work... this is because i have played back videos from videos4blackberry. info and the guy that run that site and does the conversions uses that program... so i have been looking around for the settings he uses when he converts but i cant seem to find them... btw im converting from an .AVI video file... if that helps at all...

I had that problem for a while - the simplest solution is to us the Roxio Media Manager to convert any file you want, I've never had a problem doing it that way, although it can be slow. The other thing I started using was a free program called iPodMe, which converts videos to .mp4 for iPods but works really well for Curves. Lifehacker.com did a short review on it a while ago, and it has done wonders for the simplicity I wanted to convert my mpeg2 TV shows I record to something I can watch on my 8330.

I've also tried a dozen ways to convert video and finally bought one program that gave me the best results. The BBs seem to be sensitive to the format and settings and I had the most problems playing 3gp files.

I agree with abrognlie that mp4 coverted for ipods works the best.
