Default Music on a media card. - 02-18-2009, 01:17 PM

Still new to BB.
I loaded a number of songs onto my media card. My problem is when I go to music on my BB, then to all songs nothing is there. Plugged my BB into my PC and all of my music is on the media card.
How do I listen to it?
Thanks!

Did you put them in the <music> folder on your media card? If not, that might be it...

Yes they are in the music folder.
I also loaded a few songs onto my BB not the media card and they work fine.

hmmmmmm........ got me then. Mine are mp3's and I have no problem. I seem to remember reading something that mp4's won't play in the default player. Could that be it??

mp4's will not play...the BB is "married" to MP3's and doesn't cheat

If they have DRM on them, they won't play.
Also, if they are VBR instead of CBR, they might not play. I have had mixed success with Variable Bit Rate MP3s and I have had no problems with Constant Bit Rate MP3s.

mmm I use aac... acc? aac hehe. It works fine! It saves space, so for every 4-5 songs, I can throw on another one, for free!! (as if it cost anything ^^). I use iTunes to convert all my music to aac.
