i'm trying to watch mp4s on my bb using the default media application. media app works nicely for mp3s, but i can only get audio (no picture) for mp4s.

a post said something about not having the right codecs, but no further detail.

can anyone tell me how to get my media center to play videos or failing that, get a good mp4 app?

My 8100 played mp4's no probs - through the native media player - maybe need the latest OS to work?

i've just downloaded and installed 4.5 but same issue.

the video i have is downloaded from ted.com as a podcast using itunes.

i can play .avi files ok.

could it have something to do with the ted format (screeen size)?

It may be the format. Have you tried converting with a program such as xillisoft? The prog has presets for BB built in that produce good mp4s for the pearl.
