Managing/ Storing Text messages -

Is there a desktop tool available to store and manage text messages downloaded from a Blackberry phone? As far as I can tell, the messages (specifically sms texts) can only be saved in a backup file. It would be nice to have a PC application that allowed you to access the text messages.
