Default How to Sync Music Titles etc. - 03-20-2009, 10:40 PM

I'm trying to load some of my cd music on to my bb Storm, in mp3. No matter what I do with Roxio BB Media Mgr. (that came with the Storm). I cannot get the song 's data (title, artist, genre, etc.) to go to the bb media card. It always ends up as: 01_New Title_New Artist...etc. in the bb music folder.

I tried the on-line ID Tags, etc, etc, including manually entering the data on the source file. No luck, please give me some direction.

Import them into iTunes and tag them there, if you want a free way to do it. I personally use MediaMonkey because I don't want all that Apple stuff on my computer.

I suppose MediaMonkey is shareware or freeware, I'll check it out. Unfortunately I have an Airport Express as my home wireless, mostly for my wife's MacBook, and I had to install Bonjour and some of the itunes utilities to set up the Airport. I can also try to see if I have enough of the s/w to use it.

Thanks for the advice.

Yea... I find iTunes to get rather bloated these days with all these extra services and crap.. I really wish it was more customizable to disable that crap.

So far though iTunes has been great for editting music tags.

I just had iTunes consolidate my Library and then I tagged it and then copied everything from iTunes folders into my Media Card.

For the first time I feel the future might hold something different for me. It's possible I'm fooling myself but I'm willing to take the risk.

There is a free version of MediaMonkey. Check it out. I'm certain it will be perfect for what you're wanting to do.

The Gold version is pretty inexpensive also.
