Cool DroidCurve TodayPlus FREE!! - 03-23-2009, 06:33 PM

Theme Name: DroidCurve
Theme Author: Michael Bauer
Theme Credits: Google, Plazmic, BCollins521 (without him, this wouldn't be publishable)
Supported Device Model(s) and OS: Curve 83xx series. OS 4.5 (I'm not sure if this works with the 8350i since its OS 4.6)
Download Links: See attached files (it's OTA and DM. The OTA is a little different than usual, but works)
Theme Cost: FREE!!

With the Android SDK being released, there have been an influx of various Android themes for various BlackBerrys. However, not very many for the Curve. And I wanted one. So I made one.

It's a TodayPlus, with Messages (with 0 subentries, just notifies you of a message) and Calendar (with 5 subentries). Then 6 user customizable icons. Some icons aren't Android-ized, so I just used the regular dimension icons. This isn't a slide theme, in fact I didn't even use Composer. Hope you enjoy the theme!

I've never used a today theme, is there any way to make it so it's just messages and the calender isn't on the main screen?
Looks great though! I love Android themes

Sure! Look at the attached file!

I don't know how to host an OTA file, but in the file is an OTA pack. To install it that way, copy that file onto the phones microSD card or device memory. Then go to the folder (Media -> Explore) and download it by clicking on the .jad file.

How many message subentries do you want displayed? The whole screen or just a couple...?

I have to leave soon, so I just made one that has enough subentries down to the bottom dock (6). So see the attached file for that and two posts up on how to install the OTA.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Steve
: Sure I can add the alarm for ya. This started out as a theme that I used for myself but once I put on the finishing touches, I was able to publish it. Guess I forgot about adding the alarm icon. Which DroidCurve do you want: The original one, BottomDock, or the one with 6 message subentries?

Dawg: So are you saying the fonts are too big on like the options menues and stuff? I can change that if you can tell which version of the theme you want. And sorry about the browser issue, but I don't have a data plan so I can't really help you there. :(

pantheon: For the incoming call I didn't change anything because I thought it went well with the Droid look, and getting a wall to match the bottom bar is difficult (for me). And the outcall which one are you talking about. The call log or the screen when you're currently on a call with someone?

Any chance of a version with 4 or 5 calendar entries only on the home screen with the bottom dock.

THanks

And message icon doesn't shrink when u open browser or media player...
U know when it goes up to browser bar up there...
Missed calls icon is ok..but message icon stays big when goes to browser bar...

Default All versions updated! - 03-27-2009, 07:43 PM

I've updated all of the themes with an alarm now (what the v2 means) and made the new requests.

pantheon: That happens because the Media banner is smaller than the homescreen banner. I made the new message alert to fit the homescreen one. Sorry, but if I shrunk it to fit the Media banner, I feel it would look bad on the homescreen banner.

I've gone through and updated them all with a working G1 cursor!

Dawg: I'm not sure if it fixed your problem, but the calendar today entry was overlaying the bottom dock as I forgot to change the tab which forced one entry to go over the zen area. Hopefully it works now.

I don't know much about the Google Mobile App so I'm not sure if I'll be able to create a work around. Are there options within the app itself that let you change the font?

I notice that with other apps, as well. Yahoo IM is white on white text. Myspace show black on black text in some areas.
