You need to make sure mass media storage is on. Also is your sd card seen by your phone os?

When you plug your phone into the pc does your phone prompt you to allow mass media?

Instead try using an adapter and putting the SD straight into your computer. If for whatever reason you're having issues using the BB synch process, this always works.
