Default 8gb micro sdhc card will not read - 05-27-2009, 11:49 PM

I need some serious help! I have a 8900 with an 8gb Kingston Micro SDHC card that Ive had in it for like 3 weeks and in a 8320 before that. Soooo, today I took my best friends 1gb SD and put it into my 8900 to test bc she said it wasnt reading it in her 8320 anymore and it wouldnt read in my 8900 either so I took it out and put back in my 8gb. Went to access my files and everything is gone, the card will not read in any phone, it wont even read in my adapter plugged into my laptop or my pc and it wont read in the phone plugged in with the USB. WTF!? Why? And how can I get it to read or possibly recover anything from the card!? Ive been stumped for 3 hrs now!

Thanks extremely much to anyone that can help!

Have you tried a battery pull with the 8gb card in place? Did you try the card in any other reader/phone/device? It could be corrupt, but try the battery pull and see... it fixes a lot of BBW (BlackBerry Wonkiness).

Have you tried putting it into a MicroSD to SD adapter and trying it in a card reader and attempting to access the files on a PC? If you can access the files then copy them onto the PC and then format the card and replace them. If not then sorry but you are in the situation I was in last weekend where you've got to wave goodbye to your files and format the card; Options>Media Card then Click the trackball and select "Format Card".
