I just did a solid black .jpeg for mine and the icons look great. I did a few more dark red and dark blue to change when I wish.

I like the dark ones too- others like variety so I'll post a few and see if they like 'em or not.
Have you seen my "Jack on Black"?

One easy way, assuming you at least have email capability, is to click the thumbnail, save the image to your PC, then attach it to an email you send to yourself (on the BB account or a re-directed one). Open the email on BB, open & retrieve the attachment, & save it. Then, go to the pictures application, select it, and make it the background image.

Yup- 320 x 240 and keep them less than 50K with JPEG compression to not waste space.

Sunrise Images -

These are from Dege Peak in Mt Rainier National Park. They were taken at sunrise in August looking to the northwest. The dark border just covers the bottom row of icons in the Cingular theme.

I just downloaded Jack on Black and have it as my background. Simply beautiful. Really makes the icons stand out. Thanks Megabit

Sandy Hook, NJ Sunset -
12-02-2005, 10:54 PM
Here is my contribution. Sandy Hook Sunset was taken on January 1st, 2005 at 4:17 PM as the sun was setting over Sandy Hook, NJ. As an after thought here are two more, Old4039 Is an old Morris County Steam Engine, and the last was taken at Waterloo Village in NJ also. Some of my favorites, feel free to use them if you like them.
One last one, I promise, hahaha, Paterson Falls.

Jack on black dimensions -

Since it's not 320 x240 is it filling the screen on the home page?

Love these, but it seems as though there is a small bit of white on each side on my 8700. Is the size correct? With this Tiger installed on the Cingular theme it really has a Mac look to it, which I am partial to since Macs are all I use...

They are exactly the right size and I just double-checked on my unit and there is no white on the edges. Sounds like you may have bonus pixels???
Do any others do that?

Are you clicking on the image and then downloading it (it should show up without anything else in your browser) or are you saving the thumbnails of the images?

Tried again, still has white edges, but others don't - strange. Really want that one too, since it goes well with the Cing theme colors. BTW, how can I be on the net, then get an image like that, leave the browser to test it and come back to browser without having to re-enter the web and navigate again - cant the browser sort of stay on in the background, or does it close each time you leave?

Are you downloading on the PC or the BB?
Might try it with a PC, save to desktop (or whatever) and email to your BB and save from there. They're all 320x240, exactly so I can't tell why you're getting an extra row of pixels unless they are scaled somehow during the download. I'll post another link with them on my web site you can grab them and see if that fixes it. Give me a few minutes...

This is a bit off topic, but whenever I send one of these pics (or any attachment for that matter) to myself from my desktop computer's Outlook 2003, the attachement comes through as Winmail.DAT. Any ideas?

Mega
Wondering if you did the jack-on-black in photoshop and if so, can you send it to me. I LOVE it, but was thinking of trying some different backgound colors.
Thanks
