Default MMS problems - 10-28-2009, 05:35 PM

Not sure if this is in the right section or not, but anyway.

I have got a 8900 curve and I can't send or receive MMS messages. Tried looking for the settings option but I can't seem to find it,

Anyone have a clue what might need changing on it to help me send MMS messages.

Thanks in advance

Daniel

You may have to call your carrier to have the option turned on as it may be blocked in your account.

Another thing to try (I hear this is fairly common for some reason) is to see if the MMS firewall on your device is enabled for some silly reason -- I had this issue with SMS a little while back.

Go to Options > Security Options > Firewall

If the box next to MMS is checked, uncheck it, then test to see if MMS is working.

If that doesn't resolve your issues, call your carrier.

Good luck.

With my Bold, I'm just an e-mail away.

I think there may be an issue with the size of PXT's the devices are trying to send.. most PXT servers will provision for PXT's up to 300KB anything above will be rejected.

best thing to do is check the size of the image you are sending if its a big one make it smaller. The devices should reduce the size before sending but this could be the issue.
