Blackberry Video converter: How do you change the audio rip rate?
I just started using the BB Video Converter from Seabyrd Tech, I must say it's very light and it works great, to convert divx and xvid formats to smthg BB can read, but the default options from mencoder extract the audio at 64kbps and that' not at all pleasant to my ears. How can I change the default settings to 160kbps or higher?
Can you get any information from the program creator?
In general do you think this is a good buy? I'm having no luck finding standard video files to play on my 9700. I'd especially like to play WTV files from my Windows Media Center...
The creator does not reply to emails, and his posts on this forum date back to 2008 ...
which is why I was hoping someone else here would be able to help.
I'm using Xilsoft Video Converter Ultimate and it works perfectly for me. I chose the BlackBerry MP4 preset and tweaked it, now I get full screen and it looks great on the BB.
I set the Video Size to 480x360, bitrate to 512 and frame rate to 29.97 for NTSC. I left the size and ratio alone, and set the audio bitrate to 112K. After that, save the profile and you're set to convert!
I know they also have ad-supported versions where you have to click through 100 pages, but they give it to you for free. Have to dig around for that, but here's the info page.
