handbrake software for win or linux will rip dvds to mp4 for blackberry. i got a dvd down to 100mb and it still looks good.

Uhm I feel as if it would use up a very large amount of memory on your phone and might lag it up a bit. However, maybe break the movie down into seperate parts?
