Contact alert not playing

I set up new phone/messages ringtones for a contact. However, when I receive messages from that contact, the default tone plays.
Any ideas as to why ? All other contact alerts play as expected.

Just to confirm - can you play that tone with the media player or while setting it up? Is this tone in the same location and same format as the working ones?
