Default HELP with music

I have plenty of songs on my computer that I wish to transfer on my bbry 9700. It seems that they are not MP3 files so when I try to convert them it says protected by DRM
Can you hlep me please. I travel a lot and wish to listen to music on the go

The BlackBerry will not play media with DRMs. You need to go back to the source from which you obtained the songs and inquire as to whether there is a way to get a non-DRM version.

Typically when you purchase content with DRMs, the license agreement spells out the manner in which you may use the media. Typically, that means it is restricted to certain devices.

If the songs are in iTunes, typically you can burn the songs to an audio CD and then re-rip the songs to MP3.
