Default Enhanced Theme Support - Handheld List - 03-21-2006, 05:43 PM

Just making this thread for documentation purposes. No further information is known, so keep the questions to a minimum, if possible. It appears the following handhelds have 'enhanced' theme support. I believe this was required for the Zen theme on the 8700 series, and it should likely expand on the possibilities with themes in the future (not sure why the 32MB devices don't support this, but whatever). For record, the Zen theme will be available for all 7130 devices (EDGE, UMTS, and EV-DO) at some point within the next few releases of the device code (likely will be in the first round of the 7130u and 7130g models; it was not available in the recent 7130e release from Verizon, so maybe the next release from whomever, if ever).

8700 - GSM/EDGE model
8707 - GSM/UMTS model
8700w/8770 - WLAN/wElectron model (not sure on the name of this unit yet)
7130e - CDMA/EV-DO model
7130g - GSM/EDGE model
7130u - GSM/UMTS model

The 7130g, 7130u, 8707 and wElectron handhelds are not available yet, but they will be available here sooner than later (this year sometime, I believe).

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
