I have a few questions (maybe dumb ones) before I take the plunge:

(1) Do I want to install the Bharti or Orange UK software? Any differences? Where is the Orange UK software available?
(2) After the new OS is installed, will it be necessary to resintall third party applications like Ramble, PocketDay, Berry 411 etc., and to reconfigure these Apps? Or will they just be there after the OS upgrade? If they are deleted during the upgrade process, can they simply be restored, with all their data and settings,from Desktop Manager?

1- don't know that there is a functional difference right now. Have not seen that posted.

Yes, they will be reinstalled if you did a backup/restore and the settings might stick but not for sure. If you don't do it that way for OTA ones, you need to do that again. For desktop ones just use app loader to do it. Not really a hassle if you know where they are.

I found that most of my apps came back except for Cryptmagic and VeriChat. I just reinstalled them and everything was fine. Cryptmagic re-synced with my desktop version.
