Default Saving Ringtones for 8700c - 03-27-2006, 01:33 PM

Can someone please tell me how to save a mp3 for a ringtone? I have a 8700c with cingular I emailed my gmail account the file as an attachment and I recieved it. It shows the attachment but what do I do now?

Nothing it wont work, you have to upload it to a server and then using your blackberry go to the site and download with the handheld itself and then save it. Its the only way.

That my problem I don't see any option for saving the file

When you download the file and it starts to play there should be a screen showing three buttons, the right side button (use your trackwheel to scroll to it) when pressed gives you the option to save it. Try it.

to reiterate what KonTiki said already - you cannot send these to your 8700c w/ the stock OS on it and save the .mp3 attachments through email


In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
