I created this one for myself but was wondering if anyone else would be interested in it. It's a bit mix and match.
I don't have any means of posting the file on a website though...

Default MacBerry 8700 - 01-21-2006, 02:38 AM

For Mac enthusiasts, the MacBerry 8700 theme gives you the ability to carry that famous Aqua graphical user interface around with you-- right on your 8700.

User testimonials:

"Cool, I dig it. How many songs does it hold?", Steve J.

"Woa, I thought I was holding the new MacMicro Pro for a second!", Blake, Genius Bar staffer

"I think we have a patent on that somewhere in the basement, I better go look", Don S.

Default Fonts in Plazmic themes - 01-21-2006, 07:54 AM

Installed Plazmic reader and some themes from this thread. First one I tried worked great (Bliss, all OTA, very easy). Looked just like picture posted here. Loaded several others after that, and also tried one of the themes from the BlackBerry web site. When I selected Bliss again, fonts did not work correctly -- will not recognize change in font type or size, remains tiny squarish font. The BB's original themes still work correctly. Deleted all Plazmic themes and reader, and the theme from BB website. Reloaded Plazmic reader and Bliss theme only. Rebooted BB after each deletion and reload. Fonts still don't work correctly in Bliss.

Any suggestions short of reinstalling the OS? 7100/Cingular/OS 4.1.

Thanks in advance,

JT

As I've mentioned, I can't figure out how to design Bliss so that the fonts obey the settings on the Blackberry. I've posted about this several times and so far no one seems to know. I've read through the documentation for the theme builder as well, but I'm starting to think it's just a limitation of the software right now.

Sorry for missing prior posts. Read through the posts, but not carefully enough I guess. Crazy thing is that it did work the first time. Will reinstall OS and see what happens. Thx, JT

I was asked a while back why i don't change the fonts on my themes. The reason i have not is due to that very problem. The software does not allow for it and causes problems for those who install the theme. So to play it safe i have left the default fonts and size alone. I posted a quote somewhere from the Plastmic forums where they commented on that question.
You can try to change them but they are prone to cause crashes or simply not work at all.

Hope that helps.

Just one small request, could you possible do a version for the 7100, now my wife wants this theme too. if you could, thanks

Well I created a Road theme a few weeks ago and it seems to be just fine. I too would not follow the Screen/Keyboard fonts (I like BBMillbank, 8pt, bold). Although it worked for all screens, the message and phone lists would not show bold. So I used the Edit->Font in the main screen in Plazmic for bold. It works.

You can make "list text" appear bold by making it anti-aliased in the Plazmic Theme Builder.

Wait...are you saying that if I create a theme and don't touch the font settings AT ALL in Plazmic Theme Builder, they will still be able to be changed by the settings on the device?

EDIT: I just searched through all the plazmic forums for any thread with the word "font" and didn't find any mention of how to handle this problem.

Yes

Changing the font, style and size will affect the deeper screens (such as email text) but not all screens (such as the email message list). This is an issue with the RIM/Plazmic software (listed as SDR 67476) and is beyond your control.

Try it on your device. I can only speak for the 7100.

Can someone make a LA Clippers Theme for the 7100t? Maybe with a pic of Coach Dunleavy yelling for the "call log" icon?
