I like the Bliss theme. You can put any background and it looks good. I was wondering if there was a way to change the cream color of the bliss to blue?

You're welcome to download the source files for Bliss that I have provided on my web site and make whatever changes you want.

mrogers you have done an outstanding job on the top mask/dialog_info/dialog_question. I would love to see dialog_exclamation and hourglass to match.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks, srl! You've been churning out quite a few nice themes yourself!

The dialog_exclamation is just the way it should be -- it, along with the info and question icons, is modeled after Windows XP icons and dialogs. The hourglass one is not; I got the running man from another icon set I've worked with before. I was aware even as I put it into the theme that I wanted to change it one day, but I wasn't able to come up with anything I liked better at the time. A revised icon set will be part of the next version of Bliss.

I've been experimenting with a Glass/Vista-ish, Mac-ish theme, but not with great results yet. I don't have a lot of spare time either, but I hope to get another couple themes released for OS 4.1!

I'm just curious if there is a way to make your custom icons translucent as well? Other than the ones that were given to you. Thanks

The icons can be made partially transparent by the theme developer. In the theme software, you can define a regular and a focus icon for each application. To get the effect like you see on SRL's themes (I assume that's what you're looking at), you would use your graphics software (photoshop, Fireworks, etc) to apply partial transparency to an icon and then set that image as the regular (non-focus) icon in the theme developer.

mrogers, thanks for the quick response to my question. I'll go work on a few things with photoshop and see what I can contribute to this thread. Thanks again.

Default Mac OSX Theme - 01-24-2006, 03:45 PM

I know others are working on a Mac theme, but I thought I'd throw mine out there. This is my first finished theme and I tried to use icons from the actual OS wherever possible, but not having a Mac, I was limited to those I could find on the web. Let me know if you have better icons -- I know some are not as good as others in this theme so I'll continue to clean it up...
