Here is another one i just created.
I think i have figured some things out. ON the 7100 you do not have the option to set the lock screen. With the theme builder i have found a way to replace a file in order to have an image as the locked screen wallpaper. Waiting for my bb to come back up to see if it works.
here is another one, based on a tommy hilfigure tie.

I also found when the battery gets low, the gauge will turn red. However, these are all or nothing so I can make them black and it will be up to the user to know somethign is different. No problem.
Great feedback- thanks.

If you have a revision without the streak that would be great, Nextel does put they alpha tag up there however its a off center of the streak. Funny I never really noticed it till today lol.

Megabit,
THe MacBerry theme is great! I only wish I could have the rounded battery/signal icons like the Insight theme instead of the "gull wings". Is such a thing possible with the current theme creator?
Thanks!!!

I'm with you there, but unfortunately, its not possible with the current theme builder- at least as far as I have dug into it. The current version only lets us put new wrappers on the Dimension Icon theme for the 8700. Most screen elements, including fonts on the homescreen, are fixed.
My personal favorite is still Alien Pursuit because it gives lots of depth to the 8700's killer TFT display.
http://www.millenniastudio.com/8700themes.html
I haven't had any requests, but I could make a non-Cingular version of that theme.

...and to think I never posted the one with a carbon fiber Jack laser blasting the "can you hear me now?" guy in the back of the cave! Guess I'll keep that on my hard drive and no place else.
I can make the background images for Alien that you can swap out without changing the whole theme.

yeah just change the icons from the purple one to the check from vzw and the orange one to the uscellular star......that would rock my world and make my friend shit his pants. Ugh that would be so fun! I laugh so hard when thinking about it I tear.... Naw the carbon fiber one is a seperate theme. I don't think they would interchange well. I understand they are a lot of work and don't need you to do both. I don't want to become a bother.

The themes you've made with the transluscent icon effect are terrific, personally I've got the golf3 transluscent on my 7105t right now. You haven't by any chance made the icon set available have you? Anyway thanks for all your efforts.

I will post it when i get to my desk, I thought i did? post that theme for the 8700 not long after the 7100 post. But it may have been for the 7200. Either way i will upload the file soon. I keep all those themes for rainy dayZ.
Ahh? on a second look back, the vista theme with grass i did not post. Odd that's the theme i use too. It has a very nice combo of colors and things are seen well.

Try this. Not sure how will look but it might be worth a laugh or two.
Just save it to your Mac and send it to your BlackBerry email address to get it on the 7130e.

Question - some of these themes have only shadows of the icons, then I guess they appear when rolled upon, right? Is that an integrated part of the theme itself, or an option for any theme I already have?

The theme creator has changed the opacity of the icon images that are then coded into the theme. Its not within the handheld to change them.
And yes, they may or may not "light up" when rolled over because each one has at least 2 states: static and focus. Some like Bluetooth, have 4 because they toggle Off-On and On-Off and each has a static and focus image associated with it.

Gotcha...
How difficult is it to make themes for the 8700? If it isn't too tough, I'd like to try. Where would I start?

Its easy as pie to make themes. But, its a bit more work to get set up.
You need a PC or Virtual PC on a Mac (with plenty 'o horsepower) and the following free software:
Plazmic CDK 4.1 from plazmic.com
The BlackBerry Java Development Environment 4.1 (huge download)
More specs here: http://www.plazmic.com/en/download/index.shtml
Then, you need some image editing software like Photoshop to build or modify the images. The Plazmic software has a fairly decent manual and release notes.
Only problem is if you're on a Mac-- there is no way to download the themes direct. You either need a PC or a web host that can be configured to allow OTA (simple on Linux or Unix systems).

Can share this one with us? Please....
I really like this one! I want it in my BB 7100!
I've read in various threads that i need OS 4.1 to load this themes. I've tried with OS4.0 just to see what happens and i get this message: "The following modules could not be loaded because their digital signatures were invalid."
My BB is associated with a BES plan. My question is (maybe you can help me) why can I load other themes and not this kind of themes? I know that I can't load software to my BB. The same message appears when I try.
But I've download the themes from Orange, O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone networks and installed them without any problem.
Do you know why?
Thank you.
BTW I've got one 7100v
