Ahh? I agree and it has come down to time. Given time i will add icons to suit the theme. Adding the icons specific to the theme is a little time consuming and i have not had the time (considering the holiday)

I will try to add them so.

Well if you guys want use Adobe CS2 it take a little time to learn but once you get it it's easy as hell, When I made my theme I made the icons 130 X 130 and it shrank them nicely. Also to get rid of the bar at the top, where the clock is just create a transparent background in Adobe and it clears it so you can see your whole background.

That was a great idea thx. The clear image improves the overall look.

srl7741, waiting on that golf theme. But please take time off and enjoy the holidays first. The themes you have posted look great.

I do have some good golf clipart, but it's nothing you couldn't google image just as well as I did. Let me know if you want me to send some of them to you.

By the way, this would make a great sticky thread.

Tell me what you guys think, I got a screenshot so you guys won't whine about it, hope you enjoy, PM me and I will send it to you if you want it. What ever icon is being selected it turns into the hockey puck, not as good as my NFL theme but it will do for all of my canadian buddies eh? From Tampa tho, Home of the reigning Stanley Cup, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Oh and BTW I made the 7100i theme, SRL did not make it, not to sound like a b**** but, give credit where it's due, thanks.

Question 8700 List Theme - 12-26-2005, 11:12 AM

Does anyone have, or know where I can find a 8700 List Theme that I can then modify with the Theme Builder? I have List Themes for the 7100 but nothing for the 8700.

Thanks for any help.

Great golf theme. I sent you a PM to get all files attached to it. The one on this thread did not work.

Thanks

The CDK doesnt support 8700 list themes (to my dissapointment also).

They have stated they hope to add that in a future release.

Default First attempt - 12-26-2005, 02:42 PM

Greeting all,
I've just downloaded the Theme Builder, so here's my first attempt. Quickly made to get my feet wet, but I'll put some more effort into my next.
P.S., couldn't figure out how to attach a thumbnail!

Default Created theme - 12-26-2005, 03:30 PM

This is the first theme that I have created. I wish very much that you could manipulate the locations and sizes (and even forms) of the indicators (battery, signal, time, etc). I feel that the preinstalled themes waste so much space with these indicators when they are utilitarian at best.

That being said, I've attempted to design a theme around them so that they are less emphasized and that is not as graphics-graphics heavy as the ones that come with the device (or in the theme buidler).

The attached theme can really be used with any background (it was designed that way), but I've dropped in a color-matched, old Macintosh background that works pretty well.

I'd love to hear your feedback and am looking forward to the time when we have complete control over the GUI.

actually, the icons are the only thing that I didn't change. Those are the ones that come preinstalled in the theme builder.

You are better off making your own. You can do this either by finding Icon Making software, and there are several and free ones even around, or using anything like Adobe Photoshop or even Windows Paint. In these you can take a jpg or other graphical program and resize it to icon size, that is all you need.

Default gotcha! - 12-26-2005, 04:29 PM

Okay, cool. I'm gonna start making my own after this one. That way I'll have more control over what I'm trying to create. In the mean time, here's another one, and I THINK I've got the screenshot this time!
